Show Low Facilities
The City of Show Low has a broad range of community facilities including a library, two bowling alleys, an 18-hole golf course, several lighted racquetball and tennis courts, an exercise fitness course, two soccer fields, an archery range, a drive-in theater and many athletic facilities, such as an indoor aquatic center pool, lighted Little League softball and baseball field, handball and basketball court facilities and picnic areas.

Communication - In addition to communication resources from the rest of the State, Show Low has bi-weekly area newspapers, several radio stations, and numerous television channels from Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff via cable, translator and antenna.

Educational - There are five public elementary school, one junior high school , one high school and Northland Pioneer College (NPC). Show Low has a vocational education program offering courses in auto mechanics, general business and graphic arts. NPC has served Navajo County since 1974; transfer programs and occupations programs are available. The State accredited community college has centers in Holbrook, Winslow, Snowflake and Show Low. Northern Arizona University in partnership with NPC offers undergraduate and graduate programs. For information call (520) 537-9601. Show Low also has an accredited cosmetology school in alternating years.

Medical - Navapache Regional Medical Center has 54 beds, there is one nursing home with 100 beds and nine clinics (four chiropractic, five medical). The medical staff includes 41 physicians, five dentists, two ophthalmologists, two orthodontists, four optometrists, four chiropractors and two veterinarians. Ambulance service is provided by Action Medical.

Financial - There are six financial institutions with local offices in Show Low. Several company sponsored credit unions are also available. The Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) located in Flagstaff services this area with a Revolving Loan Program for new and existing businesses. Inquiries can be made through WMRDC, P.O. Box 3440, Show Low, AZ 85901. The Industrial Development Authority handles information related to industrial development bonds. Inquiries can be made through the office of the Deputy City Manager/City Treasurer. Additionally, Navajo County businesses are eligible for assistance in financing fixed assets through the Finance and Administration Division of the Arizona Department of Commerce.

Governmental - The community is governed by a mayor, six council members, and a city manager. Show Low is a full-service city with police, parks and recreation, water and waste management, and planning and zoning departments. Fire and emergency medical services (EMS) are also available. Airport - The residents of Show Low have access to a local airport which has two lighted, paved runways (4,000 feet unlighted and one 6,500 feet lighted runway). UNICOM radio equipped, repairs, gas and charter service available. There is a commuter airline service to Phoenix three times daily.
