SAVOR OUR INCREDIBLE BEAUTY
Bathe your spirit in our open spaces and clean, cool air. Soak yourself in true
silence. See forever from our mountain tops. Sail on our sea of wildflowers. Wander
through a shower of sunlit golden leaves. Lose yourself in the deepest colors of any
sunset ever, silhouetted against the intriguing shapes of extinct volcanoes. And then
there are the stars, more stars than you've ever seen!

Here by the high elevation headwaters of the Little Colorado, the Black
and the White Rivers, are high alpine meadows ringed by fir, spruce and aspen. The
Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and the White Mountain Apache Reservation are part of
the largest continuous stand of Ponderosa pine in the U.S. Through it winds the historic
Coronado Trail, one of the nation's top ten scenic byways. You are insulated by hundreds
of miles of gently rolling mountain grasslands split now and then by rugged canyons and
higher peaks. It's an abundant country that has long sustained our people. Renew your
spirit here in the friendly White Mountains.
